Caramels
2 c. white Karo
1/2 c. sugar
Cook to hard ball stage on medium heat, stirring continuously.
Add gradually:
2 cans Eagle brand sweetened, condensed milk
1/4 lb. oleo
1/2 tsp. salt
Cook to 250° for soft caramels or 275° for sugar daddys.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla and pour into buttered 9" x 13" pan.
Cut into squares while warm. Wrap in waxed paper. |
