Apricot Cake Delight

1 lg. (48 oz.) can apricot nectar
1 c. sugar
8 T. cornstarch (1/2 c.)
1 lg. angel food cake (10")
1 lg. container cool whip (9 oz.)

Combine sugar & cornstarch (to prevent lumps). Add nectar and cook over med. heat until thick. Allow to cool 20 min. Break cake into bite size pieces and put in 9 x 13" pan. Pour apricot mixture over and stir together. Chill before serving and top with cool whip.
